This year Sri Lanka takes the crown as THE adventure travel destination of 2017. The title was given out at the World Travel Awards Asia & Australia held in the city of Shanghai this year. It won the title through an online poll and travel experts and professionals noted that the country increased in popularity over the years as a viable and often cheaper vacation alternative to Thailand.
